Brianna’s journey with Legacy began when she was just 16 years old and welcomed her first child. As a young mother still in high school, with her partner also in school and neither having steady jobs, Brianna faced overwhelming challenges. But Legacy became a lifeline.

From the start, Legacy provided essential support. Brianna was able to get clothes, shoes, diapers, and even a crib for her baby. Over the years, as her family grew to four children—now aged eight, five, three, and one—Legacy continued to be there for her, helping her stock up on the necessities her children needed.

Back in 2016, the lessons at Legacy were completed on paper, with parents filling them out by hand. Through these lessons and continued assistance, Brianna not only received material support but also valuable guidance.

Having a limited support system—with only her partner (now spouse) and grandmother—Brianna found a support system in Legacy. It provided her with a sense of relief, allowing her to focus on being a mother without the constant stress of scrambling for basic needs. Instead of spending every paycheck on essentials, they could rely on Legacy for supplies and use her husband's income for other important expenses.

“Being 16 both still in school, not really working, were able to get things needed without having to scramble. Jobs haven't always been the best jobs.”

Her oldest child has practically grown up with Legacy, loving the visits so much that she gets upset if she can’t come along. Legacy became more than just a resource; it became a part of their family’s life.

Over time, Brianna’s life transformed. What started as a struggle evolved into a journey of growth and empowerment. The weight on her shoulders began to lift, and she became more confident as a mother and as an individual.

Today, Brianna is working towards her Associate's degree in Child Development, aiming to become a teacher. She has been able to focus on her education without the overwhelming pressure of providing for her children. Brianna expects to graduate next spring, a milestone that she once thought was out of reach.

Brianna’s story is a testament to the lasting impact of Legacy’s support, transforming what seemed like an impossible journey into one filled with hope, growth, and achievement.
