Scheduled for September 15-21, 2025. Stay tuned for details on how to get involved!
According to National Diaper Bank Network Diaper Check 2023, 47% of U.S. families suffers from diaper need - the inability to keep their baby clean, dry, and healthy. Currently, no government programs assist specifically with the cost of diapers which leaves many families in crisis. In 2023, we distributed more than 407,000 diapers to babies in our community.
As a member of the National Diaper Bank Network, Legacy Parenting Center and more than 225 diaper banks across the country participate in National Diaper Need Awareness Week every year. The goal is to raise awareness about diaper need and the good work that diaper banks do to help parents obtain this basic necessity for their children. Through media outreach, local diaper drives, and financial contributions, we can work together to combat diaper need.
What is National Diaper Need Awareness Week?
Whether you donate dollars, diapers, or time, you can make a difference for the 1 in 2 babies suffering from diaper need.
Get involved
Volunteer.
We distribute diapers in packs of 25, each one carefully packed by volunteers. With more than 35,000 diapers being distributed to babies each month, this is an important job. Whether you want to help as an individual or as a small group, we have a place for you.
Donate Diapers.
Host a diaper drive at your business or drop diapers and wipes at the center.
Or drop diapers off at one of our participating locations in Shawnee, Tecumseh, Seminole, or McLoud.
Shop.
Our greatest need for diapers is size 4, 5, 6, 7 and Pull-ups size 3/4. We also need unscented baby wipes.
You can shop our Amazon Wishlist and the order will be delivered directly to the center.
